Gillian ‘Salsa Fix’ is an award winning Salsa DJ, winning Salsa Central's 'Best Regional'

 

DJ' award and coming runner up in The LUKAS award for 'Best UK Salsa DJ'. She has worked at numerous events around the UK such as GBSEx, LatinMotion, Salsology, Sunday M.A.S.S, Blackpool Tower Ballroom, MotionCity weekend, Smooth Salsa, Coventry's Salsa Special and many more.

 

She runs the ever popular monthly 'Salsa Fix' nights in the north West and has been running the award winning 'Salsology' events in Prestwich, Manchester for over 3 years, she is also resident DJ at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom events. Gillian personally loves Salsa Dura, Mambo, Salsa Classica and Salsa Romantica but can adapt to most salsa crowds and is well known for being able to read the crowd and play accordingly on the 0y, she plays a wide range of Salsa music from New York, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, Europe, Africa and beyond. She enjoys DJing from CDs, Vinyl and digital and is no stranger to long DJ sets (5/6 hours straight).

 

She works hard on her music collection to keep it fresh and is constantly investing in her love of Salsa.
